AIL Consulting was founded in 1996 and was originally the Scottish & Irish Regional sales operation of PowerGenIT.

PowerGenIT was the IBM Premier Business Partner and IT Consultancy Division of the £7.5 billion energy provider Powergen.

AIL Consulting has since become an independent, strategic provider of project based IT consultancy to some of Scotland's largest companies. AIL Consulting is a specialist storage organisation, focused on all aspects of storage as well as the design of Business Continuity and Backup & Recovery solutions.

While predominately engaged with Scottish companies, AIL Consulting has also undertaken major projects in Germany, Canada, Ireland and England.
