AIL Consulting has the experience and accreditation to resell the complete range of IBM storage and tape products. This includes mainframe attached storage and tape. AIL Consulting has an experienced professional services team that has designed, implemented and supported major Backup and Recovery projects in Scotland, England, Ireland and Germany over the last 13 years.
Storage Environments
Although the core business for the AIL Consulting professional services team is Backup/Recovery, the team also specialises in storage audits. These audits provide companies or departments with an independent assessment of their storage environments while at the same time providing advice on the best way to develop and manage the environment.
As most large organisations will have bought storage from multiple manufacturers, AIL Consulting made the strategic decision to resell products from other manufacturers. AIL Consulting now resells HP storage and Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL) from leading manufacturers.
Storage Management
Until recently, AIL Consulting was exclusively focused on IBM's Tivoli TSM for Storage Management. Tivoli Storage Manager is the product of choice for more than 80 of the Fortune 100 companies and AIL Consulting has been designing, implementing, tuning and supporting TSM in many of Scotland's largest companies for more than a decade.
However, just as large companies may buy storage from multiple manufacturers, there is sometimes a demand from these organisations for multiple storage management products. AIL Consulting has therefore taken the logical step of cross training consultants so that we now offer storage management consultancy for IBM and Veritas products.
